Montgomery Republicans Collect Hundreds of Toys for US Marine Corps Toys for Tots
Rockville, Maryland – On Saturday, December 3rd, the Montgomery County Republican Party with the Montgomery County Federation of Republican Women hosted the 2011 Christmakkah Party in Kensington, Maryland benefiting the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program.
“The Montgomery County Republican Party is proud to support the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program. We applaud and commend their goal to deliver a new toy at Christmas, with a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens. With well over 200 attendees we amassed hundreds of toys that will bring smiles to children’s faces. Our sincerest thanks to the U.S. Marine Corps and their Toys for Tots program for bringing toys to needy children.”
The mission of the US Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The principal Toys for Tots activity which takes place each year is the collection and distribution of toys in the communities in which a Marine Corps Reserve Unit is located.
